Easy Pancakes: Chef’s Recipe

Ingredients (serves 4-6):

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. In a separate mixing bowl, beat the egg and add in the milk and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, and stir until combined.

Cooking the Pancakes:

  1. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  2. Spoon about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the pan.
  3. Cook until bubbles appear on the surface, then flip and cook the other side until it’s golden brown.
  4. Repeat until all the batter is used up.
