Flambéed Gray Shrimps Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Gray shrimps, peeled and deveined
- 2 Tbsp. Unsalted butter
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup Brandy or cognac
- 1/4 cup Heavy cream
- 1/4 tsp. Smoked paprika
- 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the butter and garlic, cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimps and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.
- Remove the skillet from heat and carefully add the brandy or cognac to the skillet.
- Return the skillet to heat and ignite the brandy with a lighter, swirling the skillet until the flames subside.
- Add the heavy cream, smoked paprika, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss until the shrimps are fully coated in the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
