Four-cheese dumplings

Four-Cheese Dumplings Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. Mix the flour and salt together in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, beat the egg and water together.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, blue cheese, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried basil, dried oregano, dried parsley, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Dust a clean surface with flour and roll out the dough until it’s about 1/4-inch thick.
  6. Cut the dough into circles using a cookie cutter or a glass.
  7. Place about a teaspoon of the cheese mixture in the center of each circle.
  8. Pinch the edges of the dough together to create a dumpling shape.
  9. Heat a large pot of salted water to boiling.
  10. Drop the dumplings into the boiling water and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the top.
  11. Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and serve hot.

Verdict:

These four-cheese dumplings are like little pockets of gooey, cheesy goodness. The different cheeses and spices give them a lot of flavor, and the dough is soft and pillowy. They’re perfect as an appetizer or side dish, or even as a main course if you serve them with a salad.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve these dumplings with a tomato sauce or pesto, or with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. They also pair well with a green salad or some roasted vegetables. Enjoy!
