Four-Cheese Dumplings Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- Mix the flour and salt together in a bowl.
- In another bowl, beat the egg and water together.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, blue cheese, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried basil, dried oregano, dried parsley, and red pepper flakes.
- Dust a clean surface with flour and roll out the dough until it’s about 1/4-inch thick.
- Cut the dough into circles using a cookie cutter or a glass.
- Place about a teaspoon of the cheese mixture in the center of each circle.
- Pinch the edges of the dough together to create a dumpling shape.
- Heat a large pot of salted water to boiling.
- Drop the dumplings into the boiling water and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the top.
- Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and serve hot.
Verdict:
These four-cheese dumplings are like little pockets of gooey, cheesy goodness. The different cheeses and spices give them a lot of flavor, and the dough is soft and pillowy. They’re perfect as an appetizer or side dish, or even as a main course if you serve them with a salad.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve these dumplings with a tomato sauce or pesto, or with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. They also pair well with a green salad or some roasted vegetables. Enjoy!
