Fruit Crumble Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups mixed fruit (such as apples, berries, peaches or rhubarb)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash and chop the fruit into bite-size pieces and place it in an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  3. Add sugar, cornstarch and vanilla extract to the fruit and mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, salt, rolled oats and butter together with a fork or pastry blender until the mixture is crumbly.
  5. Spread the crumble mixture over the fruit mixture in the baking dish evenly.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the fruit is bubbling and the topping is golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
