Grilled Octopus Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 large octopus (about 3-4 lb)
- 2 lemons, juiced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
- Thoroughly clean the octopus under cold running water and remove the beak from the center of the tentacles.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and blanch the whole octopus for 3-4 minutes. Drain and let it cool.
- Make the marinade by combining lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, black pepper and parsley in a container large enough to accommodate the octopus.
- Add the blanched octopus to the marinade and make sure it is completely coated. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
- Preheat the barbecue or grill to medium-high heat. Remove the octopus from the marinade and discard any excess marinade.
- Grill the octopus for 3-4 minutes per side, until crispy and slightly charred. Use tongs to flip the octopus and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
- Transfer the grilled octopus to a serving plate and drizzle with extra olive oil. Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon wedges, if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!

Grilled octopus is a delicious seafood dish that is perfect for barbecue parties or any occasion. The marinade gives the octopus a burst of flavor that complements the smoky charred taste from the grill. The texture is slightly chewy, but not tough, and the meat is tender and succulent. This recipe is a must-try for all seafood lovers.
