Recipe for Ice Cream Cake with Cherries

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint of vanilla ice cream
  • 1 pint of chocolate ice cream
  • 1 cup of graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup of melted butter
  • 1 can of cherry pie filling
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture on the bottom of a 9-inch (23cm) springform pan and bake for 10 minutes. Let it cool completely.
  4. Spread the vanilla ice cream on top of the crust, smooth it out, and freeze for about 30 minutes.
  5. Spread the cherry pie filling over the vanilla ice cream, and freeze for another 30 minutes.
  6. Spread the chocolate ice cream over the cherries, smooth it out, and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  7. When ready to serve, remove the cake from the freezer and let it thaw for a few minutes before removing the springform pan.
  8. Slice and serve with whipped cream (optional) and extra cherries on top.
