Iced Blackberry Puffs – Delicious

Iced Blackberry Puffs

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 pint fresh blackberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk or cream

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Place the sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 9 squares.
  3. Place the squares on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. In a bowl, mix the blackberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice until well combined.
  5. Spoon some of the blackberry mixture onto each square of pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
  6. Bake the puffs for about 20-25 minutes, until they are golden brown and puffed up.
  7. Remove the puffs from the oven and allow them to cool completely.
  8. While the puffs are cooling, make the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and milk or cream until smooth.
  9. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled puffs.
  10. Refrigerate the iced blackberry puffs for at least an hour, until the glaze has set. Serve chilled.

Verdict:

These iced blackberry puffs are a perfect combination of sweet and tart. The puff pastry is airy and buttery, and the blackberry filling is bursting with flavor. The glaze adds a nice touch of sweetness and gives the puffs a beautiful, polished look. These are perfect for a summer party or any occasion where you want to impress your guests with your baking skills.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve these puffs chilled, as they are meant to be enjoyed cold. They make a great dessert on their own, but you could also serve them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra special treat. If you’re feeling fancy, you could even garnish them with a sprig of fresh mint or some extra blackberries. Enjoy!
