Knödel Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 200g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt to taste
  • Nutmeg to taste

Preparation:

  1. Peel and boil the potatoes until soft.
  2. Mash the potatoes using a potato masher or a ricer.
  3. Add the flour, eggs, salt, and nutmeg to the mashed potatoes. Mix until you get a smooth dough.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape them into balls.
  5. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  6. Carefully add the dough balls to the boiling water and cook for about 20 minutes or until they float to the surface.
  7. Remove the Knödel from the water using a slotted spoon and let them drain.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite sauce or gravy.
