Lemon Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1/2 cup buttermilk, room temperature
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter with an electric mixer for 1-2 minutes until creamy.
- Add sugar and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in lemon juice and lemon zest.
- Gradually add in the dry ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk. Beat until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder
- 2 tablespoons hot water
