Lemon Tiramisu Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 3 lemons, zested and juiced
  • 1 package ladyfingers (approx. 24 cookies)
  • 1/2 cup Limoncello liqueur
  • whipped cream and additional lemon zest for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Using an electric mixer, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mascarpone, sugar, and lemon zest until well combined.
  3. Add the lemon juice to the mascarpone mixture and whisk until fully incorporated.
  4. Add the mascarpone mixture to the whipped cream and beat until well combined and fluffy.
  5. Pour the Limoncello into a shallow dish.
  6. Dip the ladyfingers into the Limoncello, making sure they are evenly coated and not soggy.
  7. Arrange a single layer of the soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of an 8×8 inch dish.
  8. Spoon half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers and spread evenly.
  9. Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers and then top with the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  10. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
  11. When ready to serve, garnish with whipped cream and additional lemon zest.
