Lemon Tiramisu Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 3 lemons, zested and juiced
- 1 package ladyfingers (approx. 24 cookies)
- 1/2 cup Limoncello liqueur
- whipped cream and additional lemon zest for garnish
Instructions:
- Using an electric mixer, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the mascarpone, sugar, and lemon zest until well combined.
- Add the lemon juice to the mascarpone mixture and whisk until fully incorporated.
- Add the mascarpone mixture to the whipped cream and beat until well combined and fluffy.
- Pour the Limoncello into a shallow dish.
- Dip the ladyfingers into the Limoncello, making sure they are evenly coated and not soggy.
- Arrange a single layer of the soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of an 8×8 inch dish.
- Spoon half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers and spread evenly.
- Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers and then top with the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
- When ready to serve, garnish with whipped cream and additional lemon zest.
