Meat and Sausage-Stuffed Bell Peppers Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 Bell Peppers, halved and seeds removed
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 4 Sausage Links, removed from casing and crumbled
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 3 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes, drained
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil, chopped
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and crumbled sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain the fat.
  3. Add onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté for a few minutes until soft.
  4. Stir in the cooked rice, canned diced tomatoes, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Cook for 5 minutes until heated through.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in parsley and basil.
  6. Arrange the bell pepper halves in a 9×13 inch baking dish and fill each half with the meat mixture.
