Millefeuille with Strawberries

Ingredients:

  • 1 puff pastry sheet
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a floured surface to form a large rectangle.
  3. Cut the rectangle into 3 equal parts and prick each one with a fork.
  4. Place the pastry sheets on the baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Let the pastry sheets cool down to room temperature.
  6. In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  7. In another bowl, mix the sliced strawberries and sugar.
  8. To assemble, place a pastry sheet on a plate and spread ⅓ of the whipped cream over it.
  9. Add a layer of strawberry mixture on top of the whipped cream.
  10. Repeat with the remaining two pastry sheets, whipped cream and strawberry mixture, stacking them on top of each other.
  11. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
