Mini Buns with Peas and Mint Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup peas
- 1/2 cup chopped mint leaves
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Blend the peas and mint leaves together in a food processor until it forms a paste.
- Mix the cumin powder, salt, and black pepper powder into the pea and mint paste.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Cream the butter and sugar together until smooth and creamy.
- Add the egg and continue to mix until well combined.
- Add the pea and mint paste to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture and the milk, alternating each until everything is well incorporated.
- Knead the dough lightly and form small balls.
- Place the balls on the baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving suggestion:
Serve the mini buns hot, with a dollop of butter on top. They make an excellent side dish for any meal! You can also try serving them with a mint and yogurt dip. Enjoy!
