Mozzarella Turnovers Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough into 6 equal squares.
- In a small bowl, mix together the shredded mozzarella, tomato sauce, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.

- Fold the dough over to create a triangle, pressing the edges together firmly to seal the turnovers.

- Place the turnovers on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
