Nectarine and Strawberry Crust Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 7 tbsp unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
  • ¼ cup cold water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 nectarines, sliced
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • ½ cup granulated sugar

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
  2. Using your fingers, work in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Whisk together the egg yolk and water in a small bowl. Gradually add the egg mixture to the flour mixture, stirring until the dough comes together.
