Noilly Prat sorbet, strawberries and wild strawberries


Noilly Prat Sorbet with Strawberries and Wild Strawberries

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Noilly Prat (French vermouth)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup fresh wild strawberries

Instructions:

  1. In a medium-sized pot, combine Noilly Prat, water, and sugar. Bring mixture to a boil and let it boil for a minute or two.
  2. Remove pot from stove and let the mixture cool down completely.
  3. Once the Noilly Prat mixture is chilled, purée 1 cup of strawberries in a blender.
  4. Add the puréed strawberries to the Noilly Prat mixture and stir well.
  5. Pour the mixture into an ice cream machine and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. While the sorbet is churning, chop the remaining strawberries and wild strawberries. Place them in the fridge until ready to serve.
  7. Once the sorbet is ready, transfer it to a container and freeze for at least an hour.
  8. To serve, scoop the sorbet into bowls and top with the chopped strawberries and wild strawberries.
