Nonnettes with Honey and Orange Marmalade Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1/3 cup of honey
  • 1/2 cup of orange marmalade
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1/3 cup of milk
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan on medium heat, melt the butter. Add the honey, brown sugar, and milk. Whisk to combine. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Add the cooled honey mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
  5. Using a spoon, fill a non-stick muffin or cupcake tin with the batter, filling each to about ¾ full.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Remove the nonnettes from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes. Use a knife to loosen the edges and remove the nonnettes from the tin.
  8. Using a small spoon, make a small hole in the center of each nonnette. Fill each hole with a tablespoon of orange marmalade.
