Nougatine Tartlet and Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 100g sugar
  • 50g chopped almonds
  • 150g dark chocolate
  • 50g unsalted butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Bake the Tartlets

  1. Preheat oven to 180C.
  2. Cut the puff pastry sheet into circles and place them in a muffin tin.
  3. Prick the pastry with a fork and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Remove from the oven and let cool.

2. Make the Nougatine Topping

  1. Melt the sugar in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped almonds and stir until coated with caramel.

4. Assemble the Tartlets

  1. Fill each nougatine tartlet with the chocolate mousse mixture.
  2. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until set.
