Orange and Chocolate Chip Muffins Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line muffin tin with 12 paper liners.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, eggs, orange zest, orange juice, and buttermilk.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and mix until just combined.
  5. Add chocolate chips and gently fold into the batter.
  6. Divide the batter into the muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
