Oreo® Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 package of Oreo® cookies (crushed)
- 1 container of vanilla frosting
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 2 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Stir in boiling water. Batter will be thin.
- Stir in crushed Oreo® cookies.
- Pour batter evenly into prepared pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool completely.
- Once cakes are cooled, spread a layer of vanilla frosting on top of one cake.
- Place the second cake on top of the frosted cake and spread the remainder of the frosting on top.
- Sprinkle crushed Oreo® cookies on top as a garnish.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
