Panna cotta: the traditional recipe


Panna Cotta Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons gelatin
  • 1/4 cup cold water

Instructions:

  1. Pour the heavy cream in a saucepan and heat over medium heat until it reaches a simmer.

  6. Pour the mixture into individual cups or ramekins and let them cool at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
  7. Once they’ve cooled, place them in the refrigerator and let them set for at least 3 hours.
  8. After 3 hours, the panna cotta should be set and ready to serve. You can top them with fresh berries or fruit compote.
