Parisian

Parisian Recipe

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh tarragon

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, warm water and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  2. Add the softened butter, parmesan cheese, beaten egg and herbs into the soft dough and mix well.
  3. Form the dough into a ball and cover it with a plastic wrap. Let it rest in the fridge for about an hour.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F / 190°C.
  5. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/8 inch thickness. Cut the dough into small circles with a cookie cutter or a glass cup.
  6. Place the dough circles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, until they are golden brown.
  7. Let the Parisians cool on a wire rack before serving.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the Parisians as a delicious appetizer alongside a glass of wine or a cocktail. Top them with your preferred toppings like salmon spread or goat cheese. Otherwise, enjoy them as a side dish to your main course – they pair well with grilled or roasted meats. Enjoy!
