Parisian Recipe
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup warm water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh tarragon
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, warm water and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Add the softened butter, parmesan cheese, beaten egg and herbs into the soft dough and mix well.
- Form the dough into a ball and cover it with a plastic wrap. Let it rest in the fridge for about an hour.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F / 190°C.
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/8 inch thickness. Cut the dough into small circles with a cookie cutter or a glass cup.
- Place the dough circles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, until they are golden brown.
- Let the Parisians cool on a wire rack before serving.
Serving Suggestions
Serve the Parisians as a delicious appetizer alongside a glass of wine or a cocktail. Top them with your preferred toppings like salmon spread or goat cheese. Otherwise, enjoy them as a side dish to your main course – they pair well with grilled or roasted meats. Enjoy!
