Peach and Blackcurrant Crumble with Almonds
Ingredients:
- 6 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup blackcurrants
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches and blackcurrants. Toss well to combine.
- In a separate bowl, mix together flour, oats, brown sugar, sliced almonds, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Add the softened butter to the flour mixture. Work the mixture with your fingers until the mixture comes together in small clumps.
- Spread the peach and blackcurrant mixture evenly into a large baking dish.
- Evenly sprinkle the flour mixture over the fruit mixture.
- Bake the crumble in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit mixture is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
