Pear and Chocolate Gratin Recipe

Ingredients:
- 2 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
- 50g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Butter or cooking spray, for greasing
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F. Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Arrange the sliced pears in the baking dish and sprinkle the chopped chocolate over the top.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the eggs and brown sugar until well combined.
- Add in the flour, milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix everything together until smooth.
- Pour the egg mixture over the top of the pears and chocolate.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serving suggestions:
Serve the pear and chocolate gratin warm or at room temperature. It would taste great with a scoop of vanilla or caramel ice cream.
