Pear-apple crumble – Delicious


Pear-Apple Crumble Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 medium-sized ripe pears, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 3 medium-sized ripe apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced pears, sliced apples, granulated sugar, 2 tbsp of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1/4 tsp of nutmeg, and 1/4 tsp of salt. Mix well and transfer to a greased 9-inch baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, mix together oats, 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour, brown sugar, 1/4 tsp of cinnamon and 1/4 tsp of salt. Mix well and then pour melted butter over it to combine.
  4. Sprinkle this crumble mixture evenly on top of the fruit mixture. Make sure to cover the edges as well.
  5. Bake for about 40-45 minutes in the preheated oven or until the topping is golden brown and crisp and the fruit is tender.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Enjoy your delicious pear-apple crumble warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top!
