Pear-Apple Crumble Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 medium-sized ripe pears, peeled and thinly sliced
- 3 medium-sized ripe apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced pears, sliced apples, granulated sugar, 2 tbsp of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1/4 tsp of nutmeg, and 1/4 tsp of salt. Mix well and transfer to a greased 9-inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix together oats, 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour, brown sugar, 1/4 tsp of cinnamon and 1/4 tsp of salt. Mix well and then pour melted butter over it to combine.
- Sprinkle this crumble mixture evenly on top of the fruit mixture. Make sure to cover the edges as well.
- Bake for about 40-45 minutes in the preheated oven or until the topping is golden brown and crisp and the fruit is tender.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
