Pear Streusel Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium-sized ripe pears, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the sliced pears in a bowl with granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Toss well and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, and salt. Add the butter and use your fingers to rub it into the dry ingredients until the mixture is crumbly.
  4. Grease a baking dish with butter and add the pear mixture, spreading it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the crumbly mixture over the pears to cover them completely.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the pears are tender.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
