Picardy String Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground pork over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
