Potato and Onion Turnovers Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the onion and sauté until soft and lightly browned, about 8 minutes.
- Add the mashed potatoes, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine. Remove from heat.
- Roll out one sheet of puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut the pastry sheet into 9 equal squares.
