Puff Pastry Tart with Apple Blossoms: Gourmet Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 3-4 medium sized green apples
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup apricot jam
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel, core and thinly slice the apples. Roll out the puff pastry sheet onto a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Using a knife, score a 1cm border around the edges of the puff pastry sheet. Make slight incisions in the center of the sheet. Brush melted butter on the scored border.
- Arrange the apple slices in a fan-like manner, slightly overlapping each other. Sprinkle granulated sugar and cinnamon powder over the apple slices. Drizzle honey over the top.
- Bake the tart in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender. Once it’s done, mix together the apricot jam and 1 tablespoon of water in a small saucepan over low heat. Brush apricot mixture over the tart. Serve warm or at room temperature.
