Ricotta Tart with Cherries Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh cherries, halved and pitted
- Confectioners’ sugar, for dusting
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Roll out the pie crust on a floured surface and fit it into a 9-inch tart pan. Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt, and mix until well blended.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust.
- Place the cherry halves over the top of the ricotta mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
- Let cool to room temperature before removing from the tart pan.
- Dust with confectioners’ sugar before serving.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve the ricotta tart with cherries on its own, or topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for a delicious dessert. It can also be paired with a cup of coffee or tea for a sweet treat. Enjoy!
