Roasted figs in kadaif dress

Roasted Figs in Kadaif Dress Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Kadaif (shredded phyllo dough)
  • 8-10 fresh figs
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pistachios

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Take the Kadaif and cut it into small pieces; then toast it until it’s light brown in color and let it cool.
  3. Cut off the stems from each fig, and then cut an “x” just enough to make a cavity in the fig to stuff it with the Kadaif mixture.
  4. Mix the honey, butter, cinnamon, and cardamom together in a small bowl until everything is combined.
  5. Add the cooled Kadaif to the spice bowl and mix to coat the Kadaif nicely.
  6. Stuff this Kadaif mixture into the figs, gently pressing it into the cavity.
  7. Place the figs onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake them in the oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the Kadaif is golden brown and crisp, and figs have softened with sticky honey juices oozing out.
  9. Take out the figs from the oven and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
  10. Serve hot or at room temperature with a dollop of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Roasted Figs in Kadaif Dress is a great dessert option that is not only easy to prepare but is a unique addition to your regular desserts.
