Rose Swirls Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp rose water
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • Pink food coloring

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a separate large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Add the rose water and mix until combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until smooth.
  7. Add a few drops of pink food coloring to achieve your desired color.
  8. Using a piping bag fitted with a large star tip, pipe rose swirls onto the cupcake liners, starting from the center and swirling outwards.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a cupcake comes out clean.
  10. Cool the cupcakes in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
