Ingredients:

  • 1 pound fresh sea scallops (remove the muscle from each one)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your broiler to high.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  3. Add the flour to the skillet and cook for another minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Slowly whisk the milk into the skillet, making sure there are no lumps. Cook the mixture until it starts to thicken, stirring frequently.
