- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
- In a food processor, combine chickpeas, parsley, cilantro, onion, garlic, sesame seeds, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until the mixture is well combined but still slightly chunky.
- Transfer mixture to a large bowl and stir in flour until well combined.
- Form mixture into small balls, about 1 tablespoon each. Flatten slightly to make patties.
- In a large frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry falafels in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove falafels with a slotted spoon and transfer to a paper-towel lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve hot with hummus, tzatziki, or tahini sauce. Falafels can also be served in a pita with chopped tomatoes, lettuce, and onions.
