Sicilian Buns Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup candied orange peel
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.

  7. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball.
  8. Place the balls on a greased baking sheet. Cover the sheet with a damp cloth and let the buns rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake the buns for 20-25 minutes.
