Small Brie Puff Pastry Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 small wheel of Brie cheese (about 8 oz.), rind removed and sliced into small pieces
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon water

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, cut the puff pastry sheet into 9 equal squares.
  3. On each square, place a slice of Brie cheese. Fold the corners of the pastry up and around the cheese, pressing the corners together to seal.
  4. Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between each pastry.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the beaten egg and water to make an egg wash. Brush the egg wash over the pastries.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the pastries are puffed and golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the pastries cool for a few minutes before serving.
