Small Chocolate Fries Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Confectioners’ sugar for dusting

Directions:

  1. Combine the flour, cocoa, sugar, and salt in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla in a separate bowl.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and whisk until the batter is smooth.
  4. Heat about an inch of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  5. Drop batter by small spoonfuls into the hot oil.
  6. Fry until the fries are browned and crispy, turning them occasionally for an even fry.
  7. Drain the fries on paper towels to soak up the excess oil.
  8. Dust the fries with confectioners’ sugar before serving.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve these delicious small chocolate fries warm as a dessert. You can also add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top for added flavor and a presentation boost.
