Ingredients:

  • 1 lb scallops, cleaned and dried
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Combine scallops and shrimp in a bowl; set aside
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  4. Add flour, salt, and pepper; whisk until combined and smooth.
  5. Slowly add milk, whisking constantly until smooth and thickened, about 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
  7. Add scallops and shrimp to the sauce; stir to combine.
  8. Spoon mixture into individual gratin dishes or ramekins.
  9. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top of each gratin.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling.
