Speculoos Tiramisu: Gourmet Recipe
Ingredients:
- 250 grams mascarpone cheese
- 100 milliliters heavy cream
- 100 grams granulated sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 100 milliliters strong coffee, cooled
- 1 tablespoon amaretto liqueur (optional)
- 24-28 speculoos biscuits
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese and heavy cream together until light and fluffy.
- Add in the sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla extract. Beat until well combined.
- Mix together the cooled coffee and amaretto liqueur (if using) in a shallow dish.
- Dip each speculoos biscuit into the coffee mixture, making sure it is well coated, then arrange the biscuits in a single layer in the bottom of a serving dish. You may need to break some biscuits to fit them in.
- Spoon half of the mascarpone mixture over the biscuits.
- Repeat the process, layering the rest of the dipped speculoos biscuits over the mascarpone mixture, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
- Before serving, sprinkle the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder or grated chocolate.
