Spritz Cake- Bredele Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • chopped pecans or colorful sprinkles for decoration

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, then beat in the egg yolks, vanilla, and salt.
  3. Gradually mix in the flour, alternating with the milk. When fully incorporated, spoon the mixture into a cookie press fitted with a disk plate of your choice.
  4. Carefully press cookies onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Top each cookie with chopped pecans or sprinkles.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the cookies are just beginning to brown on the edges.
  6. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve and enjoy!
