Strawberry Pavlova Wreath Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 1 tsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 tbsp icing sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 150°C.
  2. Beat the egg whites with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
  3. Add the caster sugar one tablespoon at a time, beating continuously until the mixture is thick and glossy. Then, add the cornflour and white wine vinegar and gently fold it through the mixture.
  4. On a lined baking tray, spoon the mixture into a circle shape, building up the edges slightly to create a “wreath” shape. Bake for 30 minutes or until the pavlova is crisp on the outside. Let it cool down completely.
  5. Whip the cream and icing sugar together until it becomes firm. Spoon it on top of the cooled pavlova. Arrange the fresh strawberries on top of the cream. Dust with icing sugar before serving.
