Stuffed Meatloaf Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, parsley, basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into two equal portions.
  4. On a sheet of parchment paper, press one portion of the mixture into a rectangle shape about 1/2 inch thick.
  5. In the center of the mixture, add the grated cheddar cheese and chopped spinach.
  6. Cover the cheese and spinach with the remaining ground beef mixture. Press around the edges to seal the cheese and spinach inside.
  7. Transfer the stuffed meatloaf onto a baking sheet or a baking dish. Shape it into a loaf shape.
  8. Pour the tomato sauce on top of the meatloaf.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  10. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
