Thin Tomato Tart
Ingredients
- 1 ready-to-bake pie crust
- 2 medium-sized tomatoes, sliced thinly
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unroll the pie crust and press it into the bottom of a 9-inch tart pan, trimming any excess crust.
- Arrange the tomato slices on top of the crust, slightly overlapping each other.
- Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese on top of the tomatoes.
- Combine the fresh basil, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Drizzle the mixture over the top of the tart.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the tomatoes are slightly shriveled.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
