Tigernut Flour Flan Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup tigernut flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Caramel sauce (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 320°F (160°C) and grease six small flan dishes or ramekins with butter.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt together until well combined.
  3. Add the tigernut flour and whisk until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly, until the mixture is completely smooth and well combined.
  5. Divide the mixture evenly among the prepared flan dishes or ramekins.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the flans are set.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature.
  8. If desired, spoon a little caramel sauce over the top of each flan before serving.
