Tiramisu log – Delicious


Tiramisu Log Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pound mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups strong coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup Kahlúa or coffee liqueur
  • 20-25 ladyfingers

Instructions:

  1. Separate the egg yolks from the whites. Place the yolks in a bowl with the sugar and beat until creamy and pale yellow.
  2. Add the milk and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  4. In another bowl, blend the mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  5. Slowly add the egg yolk mixture to the mascarpone cheese, mixing until smooth.
  6. Gently fold in the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
  7. In a shallow bowl, mix together the cooled coffee and Kahlúa.
  8. Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture and immediately place them into a 9×13-inch dish, until the bottom of the dish is completely covered.
  9. Add half of the mascarpone mixture on top of the ladyfingers, and smooth out with a spatula.
  10. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the rest of the mascarpone mixture.
  11. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  12. Sprinkle cocoa powder over the top before serving.
