Tiramisu with Chestnut Cream Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/4 cup marsala wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chestnut cream
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1 tbsp instant coffee granules
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl mix together mascarpone cheese, confectioners’ sugar and marsala wine.
  2. In another bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold whipped cream into mascarpone mixture until well blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix chestnut cream until smooth. Dip ladyfingers into hot water and coffee granules mixture for a few seconds to soften them. Arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish.
  4. Spoon half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the layer of ladyfingers. Repeat another layer of soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone cream.

Serving Suggestions:

Dust cocoa powder over the top of the last layer of mascarpone cream. Chill Tiramisu in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. Cut into squares and serve cold as a decadent dessert.

Verdict:

The combination of classic Tiramisu with chestnut cream gives this dish an elegant twist. The creamy, rich and velvety texture of this dessert is simply irresistible.
