Tiramisu with Chestnut Cream Recipe
Ingredients:
- 16 oz mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1/4 cup marsala wine
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chestnut cream
- 24 ladyfingers
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 1 tbsp instant coffee granules
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions:
- In a bowl mix together mascarpone cheese, confectioners’ sugar and marsala wine.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold whipped cream into mascarpone mixture until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, mix chestnut cream until smooth. Dip ladyfingers into hot water and coffee granules mixture for a few seconds to soften them. Arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish.
- Spoon half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the layer of ladyfingers. Repeat another layer of soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone cream.
Serving Suggestions:
Dust cocoa powder over the top of the last layer of mascarpone cream. Chill Tiramisu in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. Cut into squares and serve cold as a decadent dessert.
Verdict:
The combination of classic Tiramisu with chestnut cream gives this dish an elegant twist. The creamy, rich and velvety texture of this dessert is simply irresistible.
