Torta di Ricotta Recipe
Ingredients
- 500g of ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup of flour
- 1/2 lemon rind, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- Icing sugar (optional)
- Thinly sliced almonds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180C (160C fan)
- Butter a 23 cm springform pan and dust it with flour.
- In a large bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, sugar, eggs, flour, lemon rind, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the torta cool down completely. The cake will deflate slightly after it cools down.
- Slice and sift over icing sugar and sprinkle some sliced almonds if you like.
