Traditional Schankala Donuts
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1/3 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups vegetable oil, for frying

Directions:

- Carefully drop the dough circles into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and puffed up, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Using a slotted spoon, transfer the donuts to a paper towel-lined plate to cool.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
