Vanilla Cupcakes Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup whole milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter on medium speed until creamy.
- Add granulated sugar to the butter mixture and beat until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- Beat in eggs, one at a time, making sure to mix well after each egg.
- Mix in vanilla extract.
- Slowly mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
- Spoon batter into lined muffin pan, filling each cupcake liner 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick or cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove cupcakes from muffin pan and allow them to cool completely on a wire rack.
