Baked Trofie Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of trofie pasta
  • 1 jar of tomato sauce
  • 1 cup of grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the trofie pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water for 10 minutes or until it’s al dente. Drain it and set it aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, heat the tomato sauce over medium heat. Add the dried oregano and basil, and season it with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Combine the cooked pasta with the tomato sauce and stir until the pasta is fully coated.
  5. Transfer half of the pasta mixture to a baking dish. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the parmesan cheese over the pasta. Repeat with the remaining pasta and cheese.
  6. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown on top.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
