Baked Trofie Pasta
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of trofie pasta
- 1 jar of tomato sauce
- 1 cup of grated mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the trofie pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water for 10 minutes or until it’s al dente. Drain it and set it aside.
- In a large saucepan, heat the tomato sauce over medium heat. Add the dried oregano and basil, and season it with salt and pepper to taste.

- Transfer half of the pasta mixture to a baking dish. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the parmesan cheese over the pasta. Repeat with the remaining pasta and cheese.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown on top.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
